Saturday Members' Walk
Starting in April 2008 our popular members' walks will be held on the first Saturday of every month and will be themed to the unique and interesting wildlife to be found that month. Free to WWT members only. Booking essential, please call 0208 409 4400 to reserve, or ask a member of staff.

Meet some of the species of wildfowl that WWT has helped to save and learn about our ongoing conservation work.

Looking for a unique present for someone? Fancy improving your own bird watching skills? Then why not book a 1-2-1 session with your own personal bird watching trainer? Packages tailored to your exact requirements, from one hour to full day sessions. First hour costs £45, second hour £25 and any subsequent hours at £20. Call for details.

Sunday Carveries
A delicious three-course carvery, including a variety of roast meats with vegetables, followed by desserts and coffee, served in our beautiful Water's Edge Room. Vegetarian options available. 12 noon - 3 pm. £24.95 per person, £12.45 per child (aged 3 - 9 years). Special Mothering Sunday (22 March) carvery to be held - book early to avoid disappointment.

October Half Term
Daily children's events and activities including arts and crafts, pond dipping, walks and much more, during the school half-term. Explore all the creepy crawlies at the wetlands.

Our popular members' walks continue with autumn themes. It is an ideal time of year to explore the topics of migrations and reptiles plus unique and interesting wildlife to be found on the reserve. Free to WWT members only. Booking essential, please call 0208 409 4400 to reserve. 1pm.

Colin Tudge Talk and Book Signing
Join best selling author Colin Tudge for the afternoon and learn about the lives of birds, how they live and why they matter. In his new book, ‘Consider the Birds' Colin discovers the secret life of birds, from their seasonal migration to how they feel and think. Colin will be signing copies of his new book which can be purchased in the centre's gift shop. Booking is recommended as seating is limited; please phone 020 8409 4400 to reserve your seat. Lecture is free. Regular admission fee applies. 2pm

Wintering Wetland Birds
An introductory course looking at wildfowl and other wintering birds. Price includes illustrated lectures and practical fieldwork on the reserve. 10.30 am - 4 pm. £45 per person. Adults and accompanied children over 11 years. Booking is essential; price does not include admission into the centre or lunch.

Winter Wonderland Weekend
Join in the festive fun at the wetlands this weekend with plenty of seasonal activities. Visit Santa in his cabin grotto and shop for unique and environmentally friendly Christmas gifts in our WWT shop, every purchase contributes to our conservation efforts.
10 December
Carols by Candlelight
Join us in celebrating Christmas with our neighbours in our beautiful candlelit service with traditional carols, readings and prayers in the centre's courtyard. Delicious hot food, mulled wine and mince pies on sale. Please bring warm clothing as the service is outside. Carol concert starts at 6.30 pm (free entry from 6 pm).
13 December
Breakfast with an Expert
Our friendly experts are on hand to teach everything from basic birdwatching skills or hints on improving existing ability. Start the morning with an informal breakfast then move on to the reserve for incredible on site birdwatching. Course is £20; price does not include admission into the centre.
19 - 22 December
Christmas Pantomime
London Wetland Centre continues its fun family panto tradition with an all new "wetlands" production. Suitable for ages 5 and up. Booking is essential, £4 per person/per child. Price does not include admission into the centre.

Introduction to bird watching
This practical introductory course will help you identify different birds and understand more about their behaviour. Participants should bring their own binoculars/telescope where possible. 9.30am -11.30am (breakfast 11am) Max 10 people.
