Olympus SP-590UZ teleconverter and adapter

We think that the Olympus SP-590UZ is the best camera in its class, with a very good 26X built-in zoom (click Olympus SP-590UZ to read the full review). However, if that isn't enough, Olympus also make a 1.7 Tele Conversion Lens, which is designed with birds in mind. If you get the lens, you also need a conversion lens adapter (CLA-11). The two will cost in the region of an extra £130 to the cost of the camera.

We have taken 3 pictures of 2 subjects to give you an idea of the benefit of the lens. Each of the sets was taken from exactly the same spot, at the same time. The first is a general shot with no zoom at all, to put the images in context. The second is with the full zoom, and the third is with the full zoom and 1.7 adapter, with the camera set to the "bird" setting (NB this produces slightly smaller digital images).
